Fees
It is important that our clients comprehend
the billing process. To this end, it is our obligation to explain this process at the beginning of the attorney-client relationship.
While the customary procedure is to bill each month for services rendered at an hourly rate, from time to time we deviate from this standard practice. Our hourly rates are determined on an annual basis; rates may vary based on the experience of the attorney involved and the complexity of the case.
Fairly routine services are generally quoted on a fixed-fee basis. On occasion, some services are provided on a contingent-fee arrangement.
Out-of-pocket expenses, such as filing fees, travel expenses, facsimile costs, photocopying costs, long distance calling charges and delivery charges (such as express mail), are ultimately the responsibility of the client.
