Attorney Profile

Brian J. Bluth has been with McCormick Law Firm since his admission to the bar in 2001.  In 1998, he graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in genetics.  He graduated cum laude from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law in 2001 with an Advanced Certificate in Health Law.

His practice areas include representing physicians, nurses, hospitals and health systems in north-central Pennsylvania, representing institutions of higher learning, and representing local businesses, manufacturers and municipalities in civil litigation.  Mr. Bluth donates his legal services on a pro bono basis, and has been awarded the Lycoming Law Association Equal Access to Justice Award (2006), the Pennsylvania Bar Association Pro Bono Award (2007) and the YWCA Unsung Hero Award (2007) for his pro bono activities.

Mr. Bluth has been actively involved with the Ethics Committee at Susquehanna Health and has taught courses in health care administration to graduate students in Williamsport.  He has also taught seminars on various issues to area health care providers.  Mr. Bluth serves in leadership positions in several local non-profit organizations.  He is a member of the Steering Committee of the Lycoming County United Way, President of AIDS Resource Alliance, and President of West House Personal Care Home.  He is also the Treasurer of the Lycoming Law Association.

He is a member of the Lycoming Law Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association, and is admitted in state and federal trial and appellate courts. 

Born in Brooklyn, New York City, and raised on Long Island, Mr. Bluth now lives in the Historic District in Williamsport..
